IFHE Digest 2026, the international publication of the International Federation of Hospital Engineering (IFHE), features PPO-Elektroniikka’s expertise in hospital electrical safety.
Our CEO, Mr Timo Ohtonen, and Mr Gopa Kumar from our Indian partner company, CAPE Electric Pvt Ltd, contributed an article discussing the importance of electrical safety and continuous insulation monitoring in critical hospital environments, particularly operating theatres and intensive care units.
Mr Kumar and his team are actively working to improve electrical safety standards and practices in Indian hospitals.
The publication also includes an update from our Ukrainian partners, Tatyana and Dmitriy Gorbatchov, who share their experiences of working under the extremely difficult conditions caused by the ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Their contribution offers a valuable perspective on the challenges of maintaining hospital infrastructure and electrical safety in Ukraine.
Drawing on more than four decades of experience, our article highlights how medical IT systems and advanced insulation monitoring support patient safety and the continuity of hospital operations.
PPO-Elektroniikka has been developing and manufacturing MEV® insulation monitoring systems in Finland since 1981. Today, our solutions are used in hospitals both in Finland and internationally.
We will continue to contribute to international professional publications together with our partners, sharing our expertise and raising awareness of the importance of continuous insulation monitoring, how these systems work, and their role in ensuring electrical safety in hospitals.
