PPO Elektroniikka Oy has appointed MVA Electrotecnia Lda as their exclusive distributor in Portugal. The MEV-8 will ensure electrical safety in Portuguese operating rooms and other critical Group G2 facilities in hospitals.
MVA Electrotecnia offers innovative solutions for process automation, hospital engineering, transport, telecommunications, and several energy markets.

Portuguese healthcare has developed significantly in recent decades. The country’s health services are of high quality and also rank high in international comparisons. Healthcare in Portugal is provided through three coexisting systems: the National Health Service (Serviço Nacional de Saúde, SNS), special social health insurance schemes for certain professions (health subsystems) and voluntary private health insurance.
In Portugal, there are a total of about 225 hospitals, half of which are private. The number of private hospitals in Portugal has increased in recent years. Nearly 20 new private hospitals are being built or under construction.
